To complete a
design, drawing data in AutoCAD needs to be extensively shared. This sharing of information can included a
customer who just wants to view a drawing, a sub-contractor who needs to
create their own drawings based on the design that has been created, a
purchasing group who needs to begin getting bids on the materials required to
build the design etc. Each exchange of
data involves a trade off of accuracy, security, speed and many other
factors.
