Drawings are difficult for a non-technical audience to interpret

AutoCAD has very
strong tools for the creation of drawings and many design professionals use
these tools to document their designs. The problem is that a drawing is a
technical document meant to convey a great deal of detailed information to
the groups that are going to purchase materials, plan the work and actually
create the design. A drawing does not convey to a non-technical audience (the
customer, company management, a design review board), what the key features
of the design are or how it will look when it is finished.
Design professionals
need a tool that allows them to show the design as it is being worked on, to
insure that the customer gives feedback on if the design meets their needs or
not. They also need images of the completed design that allow them to present
the design to key decision makers (for instance, to win a bid on a project,
or to obtain approval from a group that will be involved in signing off on
the project).
